AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): TMC on Monday hit Assembly asking for inquiry against Tripura SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority Welfare’s selecting 9 vague Colleges for Tripura students.

After TMC leader Sudip Roy Barman disclosed about Tripura Education business brokers link with outside Colleges who loot Rs. 3.5 crores under Central Govt’s  100 % scholarship scheme and selected 9 vague Colleges for 348 Students & said that Barman will write letter to HRD Minister, Tripura Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha’s eyes opened & calling a press meet decided that Tripura govt. this time is not sending any student to outside the state. If any student want to study they can go by own expense.

However, according to Trinamool Chatra Parishad (TMCP), why Tripura Govt. took the decision so late? Now TMCP is asking for inquiry behind the selection procedure, demanding the name who were involved in that.

However, Tripura CM who acts like an ignorant about such scams, TMC raised the latest scam held under Education Dept. TMC mentioned that such scams are repeatedly is happening under Manik Sarkar’s era..

The last 2 scams held in admission of 348 students in B Sc nursing & General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) in the 2016, hit the Education Dept.  after the last year’s massive scams held in this same  Dept. with same issue about students admission in outside Colleges.

Whereas Central Govt. has allocated 100 % sponsorship, it’s clearly said that there is no limit for students, Tripura Govt. has selected only 348 Students, whereas applicants were around 3000.

about jobless condition and zero possibility of students to get job outside state after passing out from these vague Colleges----Tripura Govt. had done this. However, when opposition raised voice State Govt cancelled the Colleges saying that the rate is very less asked by the Colleges, which is creating doubt about the  infrastructure of the College.

But unless TMC didn’t raise the topic Tripura Govt.’s eyes were closed. Later, hearing the name of HRD Ministry immediately the plan of sending students outside was cancelled.

May be that was also a reason, why CM called TMC as the “Agent of BJP” !

In the Press Conference it was claimed that atleast 1 lakhs taken from each and every student for the admission and the selected students belongs mostly better economic condition. ‘Why Tripura Govt. didn’t select on needy basis?’, Barman said.

There were 9 Colleges selected by Tripura Govt. as:

1)Josco College of Nursing-which has no Affiliation, 2)Mahatma Gandhi College , where students before 2 years held protest not to do class in this College, 3)Maitreyi at Hyderabad which has no hospital, 4) Venkateswara at B;lore also has no hospital, 5)Sri Krishna Rakamari, which is based on a Rent house & also more 4 Colleges---------Voilating all rules of Central Govt.’s scheme.

Whereas Central Govt. is trying to advance the country technologically, the state govt. is spoiling the lives of innocent students---after which they will become a burden to the state, to the country.

Whereas in last year 2.56 lakhs for GNM and 3.999 for B.Sc were spent, this year it’s 1.75 lakhs & 3.03 lakhs------shows Govt.’s irresponsible attitude towards state’s students.

TMC leader Barman further via media asked CM to cancel all the students’ names from the Colleges & to make a Broker-free EducationDept. Interacting media question Barman said, “TMC will write letter to the HRD Minister in this issue, exposing CPI-M’s scams, which are spoiling the young generation, increasing unemployment burden to state”.

Insecure Tripura Govt. immediately cancelled sending of students outside the state & said, the students will get admission in Tripura Colleges.

But TMCP now raising question, why just by cancelling the Colleges, Tripura Govt. trying to save its face? Why no inquiry is held in this issue?

Protest hits before Assembly when huge number of Trinamool Chatra Parishad member raised slogans against the activities done by Tripura Education Dept. officers.
