AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Education system has lost its glory here in Tripura since decades, no matter how much govt. brings out new curriculum in school education, but education in school and especially in rural ADC schools totally lacks quality.

School is often found without any teachers, Headmaster and other official staffs. Students roam from here to there.

On Sunday it was found that all the lights were on and fans were running, such is the condition of schools in rural Tripura.

According to the locals, the school suffers due to poor infrastructure, irregular mid-day meal and irregularity of teachers. School also lacks learning material, proper toilets and libraries etc.

The boys hostel has become a place for dunkers, locals alleged. Many empty bottles can be found behind the hostel. This shows the stature of education here.

During heavy shower, as locals alleged, the students are used to release from the school without any notice as rain water directly splashes in the class rooms and it becomes merely impossible to take class for the teachers.

Education for the students in the rural areas is given for the name-sake. Though the issue is being reported to the concerned authority but yet no action has been taken for the development of the school infrastructure.
