AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Hitting hard on Manik Sarkar led CPI-M’s failure to industrialize Tripura, failure to establish IT and Industries in its 23 years rule, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee said ‘There is no alternative of development and West Bengal is now developing after CPI-M was kicked out’,. In his first visit to Tripura addressing a mammoth rally before Rabindra Bhawan, Abhishek Banerjee said, “The huge crowd is saying what people of Tripura want, what is their desire. The crowd itself a symbol for revolution & desire for a change from CPI-M’s misrule”. “The people who came from several parts of the state has shown by their enthusiasm, that CPI-M’s sickle & hammer is no more powerful, rather it has been covered by rusts”, said Banerjee. “In 2018 Assembly Election CPI-M era will be ended & a new era of Trinamool Congress will begin”, Banerjee said. “On 9th August Mamata Banerjee said that she will participate in Victory rally after 2018 election & her wish will be fulfilled as I can see Tripura will massively vote for Trinamool Congress”, added Banerjee. “Whereas Tripura is often called as Golden Era, but in reality the State stands in 2nd position in crime against women”, he said.

But after 2018 people will see how the corrupted people are punished.

“If person like Madan Mitra can be in Jail for 21 months, why not Manik Sarkar after patronizing Chit Funds ?” CPI-M's Goutam Das, Minister Biita Nath's direct involvements, Manik Sarkar's blessings to Rose Valley Chit fund is seen as the main reason for Rs 1127 crores Chit-fund scams in Tripura.

“If at West Bengal Govt can give rice grain Rs. 2 per Kg then why this poor people’s CPI-M Govt. can not?”, he said.

“Tripura has 37 lakhs people, and at West Bengal Govt. has given 40 lakhs students bicycles.

Mentioning about Congress & CPI-M, he said, the persons are in Congress & CPI-M both same. Mamata Banerjee herself created a new party, which emerged from Congress. Congress/ CPI-M came together to defeat TMC but Trinamool, but our party has increased seat from 181 to 213.

TMC MP also mentioned if people want , TMC leaders will visit every month.

The main objective of the rally was to show protest against the 23^rd August Tribal Bengali Clashes which allegedly orchestrated by CPI-M to reap political benefits and TMC accused CPI-M for violence.

TMC Vice President Mukul Roy addressing the gathering said, “As Mamata Banerjee inspired people to create a new party named TMC, here also Congress will be no more and TMC alone will create a new Era ”.

In 2018 Tripura will mark as the 2^nd Trinamool state in India , as such was claimed by every leaders participated in Trinamool rally in Agartala.  

But the important question remains is, how TMC can win elections with same set of lameduck leaders ( 6 MLAs from Congress) who all historically worked in favour of CPI-M via backdoor politics ?

Manik Sarkar's 23 years CPI-M's rule's full credit goes to former CM Samir Barman, Opposition Congress Party rather than CPI-M.

Samir Barman, Sudip Barman led opposition never wanted to strengthen Congress Party, even though massive number of voters wanted a strong opposion against CPI-M but wily Manik Sarkar played the backdoor game of weakening oppostion by offering crores of soaps and favours.

As a result, each of Congress MLAs (now in TMC) became rich and richer during CPI-M's rule, now same set of leaders heading TMC in Tripura - so, doubt remains if this is another game of Manik Sarkar to keepoppositon numb ?

Unless Mamata Banerjee, Mukul Roy selects fresh set of leaders to head TMC in Tripura, there is high likeliness that TMC's performance might become like erstwhile Congress Party as oppostion remained as 'watermelon' with 'greenon top but 'red inside'.
