AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): After a disastrous 1st day of Manik Sarkar’s ‘NE Summit’ where no Northeast CMs were present, neither any Union Ministers so 2nd day began with a consolation of having Bangladesh Industry Minister and Nagaland CM’s presense. Even in the 2nd day of ‘NE Industry Summit’, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, has given a dull speech on Northeast’s and Tripura’s Developmental opportunities, as his main focus was to strike the Central Govt for curtailing funds in CPI-M sponsored corruptions. Every dignitaries have delivered their speeches with some important keynotes for development. But Tripura CM once again has proven himself as an 1960 era communist who is sworn enemy to the Industry, without basic knowledge of Economics. Addressing the gathering at Pragna Bhawan Manik Sarkar said, the pre-condition of development is very important which is peace & tranquility. Poorly educated Tripura Chief Minister again displayed lack of vision and knowledge of developing a state with Industries, Information Technology(IT), Bio-Technology investments to generate employment and enriching State’s sagging economy.

Manik Sarkar’s garbage talk on blaming Centre continued as he said “India has around 35 crores of illiterate & more than 20 crores of unemployed.  50 % of this country’s mothers, children are suffering from anemia & Central Govt has miserably failed to upgrade the condition of Northeast”.

About state-central relationship, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said, the main power remains to the Central, although India is considered as a federal state. Due to lack of power, the state govt. can not do anything & even the maximum revenue generates from Tripura is taking away by the Central Govt. Northeast although has potentialities, but due to lack of power it can’t improve physical infrastructure.

Sarkar loudly asked------to develop industry, electricity, connectivity, water supply, telecommunication--- all these whose responsibility? Manik Sarkar said, “All these are responsibilities of the Union Govt. at Central. It has Railway Dept., & telecommunication is fully developed by the central----so the Central Govt.’s first duty is to upgrade the basic infrastructure.

Northeast states are suffering from Terrorism, & but the persons at Centre are Exploiting Northeast ! This is the reason why groups are emerging demanding Independent India.

“They never wanted Northeast to upgrade”, CM continued his political, anti-BJP rants which all are 100% lies..

Whereas Modi Govt is the first Govt. to make a separate policy for Northeast, CM has cursed his policy & put all responsibilities on the Central Govt. However, CM didn’t mention about PWD scams, developmental scams, RD Dept scams under his regime. Targeting NITI Aayog, Exteranl Affairs officials & Central representatives CM asked for a readymade infrastructure.

Joint Secretary to Ministry of External Affairs Partha Satpathy said, “Political interference has become an obstacle to implement the Act East Policy fully in Northeast Region”.

However, the terror-man for CPI-M, Bibek Debroy didn’t leave any space to explain the brainless CPI-M Ministry that what is NITI Aayog’s duty.

Lecturing Lameduck Industry Minister, Chief Minister has said, “Developed states are known for their strengths. So state govt.’s first duty is to upgrade own strength”.

State govt's role for Industrial Development :

  1. Provide an environment for business,
  2. Connectivity not only by transport, but by E-settling of state.
  3. Utilize the schemes: NITI Aayog’s duty is not to work on it physically, but to monitoring it. We have dashboard about how many villages are connected with mobiles. How much the quality of roadway. We have monitoring power of Education, water, electricity & everything.

However, Tripura Communist Chief Minister & Nagaland CM both tried to target the Modi Govt. for it Act East Policy, but Bangladesh Industry Minister Alhaj Amir Hossain Amu thanked PM Modi for his historical visit in 2015 which upgraded the relation between two countries & connecting Bangladesh via Northeast.

People today has seen Tripura  Chief Minister’s anti-capitalist mentality in this FICCI organized industry summit, which has kept Tripura far behind from development.

Although Manik Sarkar had no role on the 2nd day of the summit, but he along with his Industry Minister went there to influence the people with another communist speech, but media, senior journalists majority of guests left the hall after hearing half of Manik's flop speech.
