AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Whereas Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that PPP model of Central Govt. is bogus, NITI Aayog member Bibek Debroy said the Introduction given by Secretary & Industry Minister are Incomplete, as the facilities mentioned here in Tripura may be available in future. Both Industry Minister, M Nagaraju read the scripts which are almost similar-----which was also told in earlier programme----the same script, which failed to attract investors. M Nagaraju said, Tripura is located strategically with high possibilities to be the gateway for Southeast Asia. Tripura is full of natural resources, small industries, good governance, export-import business. Last year Tripura had Rs. 380 crores from trade with Bangladesh. Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty also said same & lied that Tripura has seen a very significant development in industry & transit through Bangladesh becoming easy. Industry Minister also claimed in IT Tripura comes as 2nd in case of potentiality among 8 NE states. ‘Govt of Tripura is free to boost Indo-Bangla connectivity’, said Nagaraju.

About infrastructure Nagaraju said, Tripura has:

  1. National Highway,
  2. Broad Gaugue,
  3. 2nd busiest Airport,
  4. Sea port,
  5. Power surplus,
  6. IT service,
  7. Growth Centers at Bodjongnagar,
  8. Footpath, mega footpath most likely to completed in December,
  9. Busiest check-post,
  10. Tea,
  11. Gas,
  12. CNG, PNGCL,
  13. Hotel,
  14. Nursing homes, hospitality

About major income source he said, Tripura has:

  1. Rubber,
  2. Bamboo,
  3. Natural Gas,
  4. Marketing, design,
  5. Natural Gas,
  6. Tourist spots

In potentialities Tripura has small, big industries,  Highest Literacy rate etc as claimed by IAS officials.

However, State Industry secretary, Chief Secretary claims were fully rejected to accept by NITI Aayog member BibekDebroy.

Debroysaid, ‘What do you mean by potentiality of Highest Literacy Rate? However, I’m not sure whether Delhi, Kerala may come in the top name or Tripura but can you highest literacy rate produce labour?

He also said, the all potentialities, infrastructure are false !Debroy, as the NITI Aayog member declines to believe all these stores made by Tripura Govt. and asked :

  1. Why people will come in Tripura to invest for Industry”?
  2. Tripura close to Assam, to Bangladesh, and to be Southeast Asia Gateway but all the ideas of close distance is mentally, whether it takes less time to go to Bangladesh from Kolkata,
  3. It has well infrastructure, rail-line, Airport plans but have all of them completed? National Highway’s shape is miserable,
  4. You may have opportunities, but have you utilized it?
  5. Is border haats, works on border is done?
  6. What do you mean by Education, Men-power? Labour means Skill, Do you have skill?”

Thus in that Industry summit Tripura’s real face and ManikGovt’s lies are exposed, and where Tripura actually stands at low, Debroyfinger-pointed it to the Chief Minister.
