AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Not a single North East Chief Minister attended Tripura Govt. & FICCI organized North-East business summit inauguration. Utter shockingly, the only Central Govt. representative from NITI Aayog Bibek Debroy whom Manik Sarkar managed to bring physically in Tripura, has blasted Tripura’s two Secretaries Y P Singh (Chief Secretary), & M Nagaraju (Industry Secretary) and as well as Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty for giving false informations to the outside Investors. Y P Singh said that last business conclave held on 2nd July the ASSOCHAM people didn’t come back to Tripura, also they didn’t give any feedback why they are not interested to invest for Tripura. However, the feedback Debroy gave damaged the whole plan and programme of CPI-M Govt behind this business meeting show. Debroy said, “Why I have come here there are 2 reasons, One is my father worked here & also we are familiar to Dhaka, but why people will come in Tripura to invest for Industry”? “First of all I want to say, the Introduction which was given by both Chief Secretary, Industry Secretary and also Industry Minister was quite Incomplete, So I can say State Secretaries have given a false propaganda”.

Nagaland Chief Minister (who was expected in morning but reported ariived late evening ), neither Bangladesh Industry Minister was present in inauguration (alaso arrived late in evening).

'According to  their ( Chief Secretary Y.P.Singh, Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty) speeches it’s true, we are close to Assam, we are close to Bangladesh, and to be Southeast Asia Gateway. It has well infrastructure, rail-line, Airport etc but why investors will come if there is no good connectivity and skilled manpower ?' questioned NITI Aayog member.

But border with Northeast is nothing but very short, whereas border with Bangladesh is maximum. Real fact is that to go to Bangladesh from West Bengal is much easy than to go via Tripura”. “What Tripura has that people will invest here?”, said Debroy.

The connectivity thought is good, but tell me clearly (Debroy’s voice was much louder);  “Do you have Connectivity? Has National Highway finally done? Has connection with Bangladesh is done fully”? You may have opportunities, but have you utilized it?

Mentioning about Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty’s claim about “Highest Lietracy”, he said, “What do you mean by Education, Men-power? Where Tripura Stands with Delhi ? Labour means Skill, Do you have skill?”

“Tripura is not just about Belonia, Bishalgarh, Agartala. The Unokoti District is difficult to access & due to non-utilization Tripura has become landlocked”.

“So, I can say State’s Secretaries have given a false propaganda”, NITI Aayog member virtually slapped Manik Sarkar, Tapan Chakraborty, Y.P.Singh, M.Nagaraju.

Most interestingly, Tapan Chakraborty, Nagaraju were hiding faces & Y P Singh noted the feedback.

“Without IT, Biotechnology, physical infrastructure, no investor will come”, NITI Aayog Member Bibek Debroy added.

Same was told by vaious Industry bigheads, visionaries like Hinduja Group's Chief Technology Officer V.Subramanyam and Tripura's US based NRI Saumen Sarker in 'Information Technology Summit' conducted in 2015 by Tripura Infoway at Agartala.

Reacting against Bibek Debroy's sharp speech, Chief Minister said, “Investor will not come & go from the state. They will come and invest for profit. The PPP ( Public-private partnership) model which was rejected by Manmohon Singh again adopted by the present Central Govt. which has spoiled the Economy of Tripura fully. This is actually a vogues model & also useless.

“Who is responsible for this condition? People of Tripura, People of NE? The central Govt. is fully responsible for this condition”, Sarkar added.

“Every year we are loosing 108 everyday. Mr Debroy as he said, he was in Tripura, that’s true as his father was in finance Dept. He knows everything, he also knows that in our school life  hunger were everywhere, how after independence we became landlocked”.

“Without money what can we do? What should be role of Central Govt here? It’s Central Govt’s duty to do it, rather than asking for everything readymade.  Most shockingly, vexed CM said, “For requirement we can’t change our polices (CPI-M policiies). We want mutuality”.

Criticizing the capitalists he said, “We know what’s the result of Capitalist states, who can forget about 2008 incidents of terror attack”.  “We may be economist but we understand & due to lack of understanding this things are happening”, CM said.

“Our relation with Bangladesh is like relative”, CM ended by talking about relation with people & in commercial sector he couldn’t say as Debroy already showed him his face in the Mirror.

Only time will tell whether Bibek Debroy's tight slaps will break the slumber of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty, Chief Secretary Y.P.Singh, Industry Secretary M.Nagaraju.
