AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): Expressing resentment over the SFI, TSU domination over Tripura Govt Colleges, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parisad (ABVP) members in a press meet held at Agartala Press Club said that the way the Colleges are running through Melarmath direction, is dangerous for our Country’s future.

ABVP also condemned over various rallies organized by SFI where school students are taken out in class hours.

In the College Election, to be held on Sep 20 ABVP asked for votes to fight against the Communists.

Addressing a press meet, ABVP State Secretary Nandita Nath said ABVP do not believe in any ideology but it aims to propagate Indian Culture. Marxism, Leninism all these ideologies should not grip the Education system so much.

Rupam Dutta, General Secretary of ABVP criticized various scams held under Tripura Education Dept in this Communist Era. He also criticized TSU, SFI’s over dominance in various School, Colleges.

‘Before few days we tried to do some activity at BBMC College under Modi Govt.’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. But the College Principal simply declined to have any other activity apart from SFI dominating Student Council’, said Dutta.

‘Education Dept’s scams under CPI-M Govt. have no limits including Block-wide scams, the Science Result scam under TBSE, Gourab Debbarma who was elected as the Candidate for BBM evenafter he was a exam-failed student’, he added.

Nandita Nath mentioned, ‘Our aim is not to propagate any Ideology, neither we have any foreign political policy as Leninism, Communism. In those countries people can not have any press meet like this. India is a democratic country, so it has Freedom of Speech’.

‘Students are going in a wrong way in Tripura as the Education Dept. is gripped by politics. Education is for life & life is for Nation, but in Tripura the meaning of Education has been changed’, said Nath.

Further ABVP Vice President Rupam Dutta said, “ABVP will make ragging free Colleges, as across Colleges raggings are being held under SFI domination’.

ABVP members further urged for votes from College Students which to be held on Sep 20.
