Dharmanagar, May 21 (TIWN): If everything falls in place, Dharmanagar Poly Technique Institution would start its maiden journey from the upcoming academic session.
A modest building has already been constructed to house the Poly Technique Institute with an estimated cost of Rs. 12.59 crore.
High Education Minister Bhanu Lal Saha who visited the newly built Poly Technique Institute and held meeting with officials, today asked the concerned authority to complete all undone works at the earliest.
In the meeting, the Minister asked the PWD officials to complete the works so that students could study technical courses from the coming academic session.
To ensure drinking water supply, the Minister asked the DWS authority to dig a deep tube well inside the institute premises.
After the on-spot inspection of Dharmanagar Poly Technique, he went to the Dharmanagar Govt Degree College.
While academic building has been built with a cost of Rs. 4.12 crore, a separate administrative building has been constructed by spending Rs. 3.37 crore. A 100-beded hostel has also been constructed with a cost of Rs. 3.37 crore.
Mr. Saha inspected all the buildings before holding meeting with officials. In the meeting, he underlined need to complete pending works of academic building at the earliest.
District Magistrate, North Dr. Sanjeev K Rathod, Principal of Dharmangar Govt Degree College Dr. Shambunath Rakshit, Addl CE, PWD Asit Bhowmik, Executive Engineer S. Bhowmik and SDM, Dharmanagar Sankar Debnath were remained present in the meeting.
