AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Tripura’s Left Front which once raised voice against disgruntled Tribal’s demand for Twipra land with ADC areas, seems decided to remain silent on this sensitive issue till the Election-2018. A group of Tribals in the name of Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) created riot-like situation at Agartala City on 23rd August. IPFT is considered a violent obscure and anti-Bengali separatist group, which organize rallies often in Agartala City with unruly mobs bare bodies coloredwith Red colour, to symbolise bloodshed, also they carry wood made “Da” (machette) in their hands. IPFT ralliesare widely believed as attempts to instigate communal riots by lunatic people. But on 23rd August, Citizens of the Capital City re-attacked on the lunatics, disgusted by IPFT rallies disruption in a working day, their continuous slang words in Kokborok language & mainly when they attacked on a woman & a Child at Surya Chowmuhani.

Agitated people also burnt many vehicles, following IPFT is throwing stones on them, attacking them. Eyewitness are there that IPFT attacked on Tripurainfoway Office near Najrul Kalaskhetra. The day would be bad for TIWN if the door was not closed from inside.

But when Bengali-maority people retaliated them back (for the First time in History)----the unrulytribals downed their tails & many ran off the City. However Tripura Police Guided them with full scot.  But crossing all limits remaining IPFT members continued their mass rally at AstabolMoydan. Although the time limitation was till 5 PM, but they continued their jokes, claps using microphone for whole night. But Police guided them, also the whole City   amidst Section 144’s implementation  until the IPFTs didn’t left AstabolMoydaan on  next6 day 4 AM.

IPFT’s activity was condemned by media & the ruling party in Tripura. But the opposition  parties turned the issue into a bad shape, to use it for their political purpose. They started to blame CPI-M, and BJP, Trinamool all met the IPFT wounded people which Re-injured the Harmony of Tribal/ Bengalies.

However, CPI-M didn’t bothered much as it was against Twipra Land demand. But after the ADC Election’s poor result CPI-M changed its strategy & instead of IPFT, it started to blame TMC and BJP.

It’s to be mentioned here CPI-M got only 49 % votes in last Simna/ Tamakari Election, whereas a large number of vote was received by IPFT. Although CPI-M won the election, but the result was unsatisfactory.

Talking to Bijan Dhar on Thursday, about IPFT’s claim that Tripura medias not supporting Tribal demands, Bijan Dhar simply denied to put his comment on this issue. He said, “I am not yet informed about the issue, No Comment Please” !

Now it’s to be mentioned here that IPFT boosted by Shillong based Terrorist / smuggling funds are using various writers to advertize themselves via national medias. In a recent article published in a National media it was claimed that medias do not highlight tribal people’s agonies in state. The writer who wrote that article, he mentioned, “Tribals do not do not dare to give their press releases or point of view to the state newspaper—because past experience has shown them that they are not interested”. However, the writer may be funded by IPFT didn’t know when press release of a section of people are not expecting, must be something is wrong with that press release----Must be there are much more Important issues in  State rather than a section of people’s Demand for Division of their mother land.

As media always work independently and for the betterment of the society, it can notadvertize any terrorist group, it can notadvertize any divisional movement against Peaceful Kashmir, or peaceful Tripura. There is a huge difference of pupose between Media & Political parties.

IPFT although couldn’t buy Tripura medias, but they can not claim they do not have any fund. The 23rd August rally which  organized a huge mass gathering at AgartalaAtabolMoydaan------it needs a lots of funds.

However about the fund it’s must be said that a Shillong based terrorist group is funding them. Moreover, in last 1 year Tripura police nabbed many smugglers, tribal terrorists. However, those Tribals can’t  be fully blamed as apart from social medias, IPFT also brain washed by various political parties---- & they think they will get justice aligning with those parties.

The 23rd August issue is now the prime focus of various parties in Tripura including CPI-M, IPFT, TMC& BJP. All parties are now busy to blame each other for that incident, although  apart from IPFT, no political party flags were visible  at Agartala City on 23rd August.

Still, either it’s BJP, or IPFT or TMC ------- all via press meets blamed CPI-M for this mayhem. However, going forward with major steps, CPI-M has blamed particularly TMC and partially BJP for that riot on that City. Political parties are now turning the 23rd August as a historical day. Following 23rd August, on 23rd Sep, TMC will organize a massive rally in Agartala to condemn over the incident. Saying “Hills are Tripura’s asset”, Mukul Roy had declared DibachandraRankhol to be the Opposition Leader in Tripura. Mukul Roy also mentioned that without hills a state can not develop at all.

So it can be seen that the the rush for vote banks is huge before the Assembly Election-2018.

But IPFT yet to understand the political parties ambition who are using them.

Question arises, is this is much necessary to recall a bad day again and again? Is it not a way to re-active on the forgotten wounds?
