AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): Within 1 month, Petrol crisis again back in state as capital Agartala’s all the Petrol pumps ran dry on Thursday morning. Even though Modi Govt signed accord with Bangladesh on Aug 18 to transport fuel from Assam via Bangladesh but Tripura's corrupt CPI-M led administration, cadres creating artificial crisis by black-marketing petrol, diesel across State.

However, the Radhanagar Petrol Pump and Ganaraj Chowmuhani petrol pump was seen bartering fuel, with long queues of bikers ahead of the  pumps.

When TIWN asked one of the petrol pump worker the reason, he mentioned as last 2 days it was holiday, so the pumps became dry but couldn;t give any answers why fully stocked Petrol pumps can run dry other than black-marketing to create crisis .

Resentment has been brewing among the common people, as this crisis is becoming their everyday fate. However, from other subdivisions no report is there about petrol crisis.

Under Chief Minister Manik Sarkar the state has been paralyzed from every directions in spite of huge Central Govt fundings in every sector.

State PWD Corruption turned national Highway into a muddy trap during monsoon season since May-June, which had cut Tripura from rest of India.

However, Central Govt. within few months sorted out various problems, opened 3 ways for Tripura : National Highway recovery, Fuel via train & Fuel via Banglades.

CPI-M blamed Central Govt. for state govt's various failures but isn't it Manik's lameduck  administration's loopholes which failed to diminish the black marketing of fuel?

TIWN unearthed many stories on black marketing durin g 2 month’s long petrol crisis but CPI-M's another stoop Food & Civil Supplies Director Soumitra Banerjee still in slumber.

On the one hand the state suffers from acute petrol crisis, on the other hand the continuous black marketing in Tripura has hit the law and order of the state.

It’s very surprising that whereas the petrol pumps were dried up due to huge crisis fueled by NH-44’s pathetic condition, on the other hand, even the children in local areas are selling petrol directly to the bikers.

When state’s law and order reels under massive fuel theft, various District Administrations turned a blind eye from the burning issue.

Reportedly, there are 2 to 4 shops at Rail-Gate, under Durgapur Dharmanagar which has their Go-downs inside. Many stocks are there inside their go-downs, said source. However, their business is so much rampant but the whole system has remained unchecked.

Tripura's CPI-M  supported mafias and various Govt Depts are involved in black marketing in bordering areas and it is also emerging as an alternative business for many, said sources.
