AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M Ministers often blame the Central Govt. for slashing the funds under NHM / NRHM schemes. Recently former Health Minister(during NHM scam)Tapan Chakraborty said in a programme at Agartala, “State Govt. got not so much money that it can run the full scheme. From Tax to everything---l it’s the Central govt. who has the source of all funds”. “What will happen if the Central govt. gives more money to NE states, if it is for people’s good?”, he added.It’s to to be mentioned here that a special audit of accounts of NHM schemes between 2006 and 2014 which revealed that utilization certificates were not submitted in some cases. They had shown adjustment of about Rs 26 crore, but Rs 4.47 crore remained unadjusted despite repeated strictures. But police is very idle to further progress of this case. Rs 4.47 crore had been collapsed from 2006 to 2014 by CMOs and medical officers in-charge (MOICs) in the undivided North district.

FIR filed against 12 Medical officials of North District CMO office and 5 Medical officials of Unakoti District CMO office including Former CMO Unakoti Dr. Dilip Das, Present CMO Dr Alak Dewan, Dr Subhas Barua, Dr. S.N. Chaudhury, Dr. DebashisTalapatra.Tapan Chakraborty said all these just to claim that Central Govt. has not included the Hepatitis vaccination in their national scheme yet.

But before blaming the CentralGovt did Tapan Chakraborty ever think that what about earlier scams held under NHM schemes? Govt corrupted officials who looted the central fund which came for the so called “welfare” of people are roaming free with the shelter of the ruling party.

The FIR was lodged by the then NHM Director Sandeep Mahatme. But surprisingly he transfer then and also posted as the DM of North Tripura. The same reshuffle was done with RavalHemendra Kumar in 2016 also, when he started to protest against various negligence in duty done by the govt. officials and sooner he was posted as the DM of Gomati Dist.  

Police and authorities manipulated NHM scams closure after seizing the documents. The case has become quite complicated after it was handed over with the lameduck State CID where every Officer is a relative of some CPI-M leaders.. So, nobody knows about the outcome of the case.
