AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN): Although an FIR was lodged by MBB College Student Chunky Choudhury, against seven SFI cadres who injured atleast 2 TMCP members seriously in MBB College compound, but till now no action has been taken by Tripura Police, neither any inquiry has been done on their parts.

Although controvery raised against both CPM, TMC supported Student Unions was raised from various sections of people, but it can’t be denied that MBB College is dominated by Red Union, so rather than studies, politics rules the roost !

Horrible education acenarios in Tripura’s Colleges have been created in such a manner that apart from SFI, the students do not see any other student unions in the college. From the first year, SFI makes sure that students can not think about anyother party interference inside the College.

MBB Council for SFI has been made almost in an interior place, where students can do as per their wishes, and the incident of Tuesdaywas nothing different. They injured the students taking the opportunity of that comfortable place.

The main outrage of TMCP students is now against the MBB Outpost O/C Sukanta Sen Chowdhury, who was also as SFI member during when he was unemployed. During TMCP’s protest, Chowdhury  not only used slang language, but also pointing a Muslim student he said, “Son of Sheikh” !

When TMCP led by Vicky Prasad at TMC Bhawan on Tuesday, told media that TMCP has quit the election for this time, on that time the incident occurred at MBB College premises.

However, counterattacking on TMC, SFI has also placed deputation to the SDPO on Wednesday, against the incident held at MBB College premises on Tuesday.

Another press meet was called by TMCP on Wednesday, led by Vicky Prasad at TMC Bhawan. Question raised against Manik Sarkar’s silence against the numerous clashes held between students in last many elections. Can’t CM atleast give a peace message to the student unions? Question raised.

Addressing the press meet Prasad said, “Since 1993 to 2008 there was no election inside the colleges and SFI was declared as winners without any competition. In 2009 only after so much of protests, bloodsheds, the competition started but till day SFI’s goondaraaj continues.

The persons injured in that last clash are : Adinath Chakraborty and Chunky Choudhury who have lodged FIR against atleast 7 SFI leaders of MBB College. TMC demanding their immediate arrest of the accused, will go for mass protest on Sep 9 and also scheduled to hold strike in MBB College on that day. “Many picketers will protest on that day”, said Prasad on Wednesday.

However, it’s worthy to mention here that Sept 9 strike may see another bloodshed in MBB College as the student union protest is now turning into a dangerous shape.
