Headmaster absent since 4 months  at Ambassa: Mid Day Meal stopped

KAMALPUR, Sep 7 (TIWN): Extreme chaos and misrule prevailed at Gopal Sardar Para High School at Ambassa. The Headmaster remained absent from the school after getting into an extra marital affair with a group D staff for four months.

The Mid Day Meal scheme also stopped for last one week as the supplier denied supplying items in credit any more. Moreover, the remuneration of the cooks also remained pending for last four months. Still the authority could not adopt any step.

According to the information, almost 350 students of Gopal Sardar Para High School got into deplorable plight fro last four months. The Headmaster Satish Chandra Debbarma remained absent from the school for last four months.

It resulted as the Headmaster got into extra-marital affairs with a Group-D staff of the school. And due to the affair he virtually cut his relation with his family. As a result, his wife approached to the school four months ago and hot altercation took place between them.

From then the Headmaster left the school and never attended. The in-charge Ranjit Deb continued the proceedings of the school. But he could not handle any monetary matter.

As a result, the Mid Day Meal material supplier supplied the products in credit. But as the amount became as high as 35, 000 rupees he denied to provide materials any more. As a result the Mid Day Meal scheme stopped in the school for last one week.

The school remained under the drawal and disbursement of Education Inspectorate of Kamalpur. The authority remained burdened with the matters of 135 schools. And hence the matter of this school remained unresolved yet.

However, the Inspector of Schools informed that, the matter would be resolved soon. The students could not be left without Mid Day Meal.

It might also be mentioned here that, the demand of setting up of a separate Education Inspectorate at Ambassa being put forward for a long period. But the state government never adopt the matter seriously.
