AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN): Rather than projecting himself as a serious contender for CM’s post and turning bete-noire of Manik Sarkar, State BJP President Biplab Deb has chosen to function like a sissy who pefers to fly out on every opportunity with a complaint letter which mostly thrown to garbage in Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s office. Since appointment as State BJP Chief, neither Biplab Deb attacked politically Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, neither led any aggressive agitations like Sudip Barman to shake off CPI-M citadels. Biplab Deb’s predecessor former BJP Chief Sudhindra DasGupta was much more efficient in leading political attacks on CPI-M at State capital and other towns.

As Biplab Deb’s wife Niti Vidrohi is based in Delhi, so the obvious question remains whether frequent Delhi visits are to meet his wife or highlighting Tripura issues in Delhi ? 

Even CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar mocked Biplab Deb 2 days back at Melarmath HQ for frequent Delhi visits for every sily Tripura issues. Nameshake complaints to Home Minister Rajnath Singh are never followed up with actions so most of Biplab Deb visits never yielded any positive outcomes like CBI investigations against Chit Fund scams, strong actions on massive MGNREGA corruptions so that Manik Sarkar can be nailed to Jail.

Just one day after CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar, in a press meet at Melarmath Party Office, mocked at Tripura BJP State President Biplab Deb for his frequent flying for Delhi, and his meeting Rajnath Singh, BJP gave a press release about Biplab Den- Rajnath Singh meeting held on Tuesday over IPFT-CPM violence.

Particularly mentioning about this BJP State Chief,Bijan Dhar said, “This BJP Leader (Biplab Deb)  in Tripura takes up every issues to Rajnath Singh. Even if a cat dies in this town, he will report to  Rajnath Singh”. CPI-M State Secretary also said party members of BJP often seek CBI inquiry, holds meeting with Rajnath Singh, but unfortunately no action is taken after that.

Although, Bijan Dhar said in his political angle but it is undeniable that spending huge party funds, Biplab Deb flies to Delhi frequently  in the name of stressing State issues to the Central govt—but in his own state, he never taken up any serious agitations against the ruling govt.; neither like TMC, or Congress, -  State BJP never gheroued CM’s residence or attacked Manik Sarkar for his involvement in corruptions.

Also after pushing to begin CBI inquiry against Rose Valley chit funds & CPI-M’s involvment, Biplab Deb himself is surprisingly silent to go for any solid actions.

However as per BJP press release, Biplab Deb on Tuesday reportedly met Union Minister Rajnath Singh regarding August 23^rd issue (IPFT mayhem),  as well as for the Chit Fund Scam. He requested Union home Minister to speed up the investigation of SIT for Chit Fund Case with priority.

However, Deb claimed that the Home Minister ensured no culprits will be left out and he himself will query to the status of the report of Chit Fund Scam.  About 23^rd August  incident Rajnath Singh said that state government has submitted a report of the incident to Home Ministry which is yet to be verified. A detail outcome of this report will come only after the ministry study the report, said Rajnath.

“The meeting lasted around 40 Min”, in that press conference BJP claimed. However, for this 40 min meeting Biplab Deb is flown to Delhi, staying in luxury, meeting wife. Whereas in Tripura, Biplab Deb  never bothered to begin aggressive agitations demanding Manik Sarkar’s arrest for involvement in various irregularities.

With his saffron coloured saint looking attire, Biplab Deb seems much concerned about his own stylish image rather than addressing State issues.

State BJP President might try his best to become a showman  with eye-catching attires but Political Analysts donot see any future of State BJP under the lameduck leadership of Biplab Deb.
