AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): Till now Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is silent against the increasing Bru terror-threats in state, even after 8 more terrorists were nabbed by Assam Rifles 30th Btln and Tripura Police on Sunday evening. In Hailakandi, North Tripura with the joint initiative of Tripura Police and Assam Rifles 30th Btln, one terrorist was killed during encounter and more 7 more were bound to surrender when they failed to fight back the police.
With one of them 13 AK 56 were recovered, whereas RDX-bomb were recovered around few KGs.
From both the sides firing continued until one died and 7 militants surrendered. The name of the arrested persons are released by Police are : 1. Hanuman Reang (25), 2. Choula Reang (32), Harendra Reang (30).
Day by day Bru terrorist threat is gripping state Tripura. Although as per the NE govt. website, Bru terrorists are almost inactive, but taking the opportunity of Tripura’s open space for Reang refugees, who fled from Mizoram and sheltered in North Tripura, are smoothly running their operations in Tripura.
The Bru repartition has already been delayed by the month of November, but surprisingly in a latest acknowledgement it has been known that Tripura govt. is trying to open a school for Bru children, and that’s why destroying a huge area of Forest land, govt. is trying to build a school for them just to draw central funds?
Question arises, what kind of Govt. is that who has no concern about state’s safety, rather than taking action, here CM ends with his so called ‘Peace-Message’ and to maintain the harmony between tribals and Bengalis.
Increasing Bru terror causing unrest among the local Bengali inhabitants of North Tripura again. There is no month when any of the Bru terrorists were not held. However, the latest IPFT issue has created peaceless situation at Hilly areas affected mostly the Bengalies.
Due to lack of proper police intelligence network, Tripura again facing hard times due to terrorists attacks by Bru extremists. Lack of cooperation between Tripura and Mizoram Govts, then lethargy of Mizoram to take them back, bru refugees disturbing the peaceful environment of Northern Tripura. Kidnapping of innocents for ransom by Bru terrorists, are rising at alarming rate, but Tripura Govt. yet to take tough measures.
