AGARTALA, Aug 27 (TIWN): During his speech on 3rd Tripura Conclave held at Sukanta Academy on Friday, organized by Tripura Infoway media on Counter Terrorism, US based NRI, IT and Cyber crime expert Saumen Sarker said that apart from physical appearance ISIS is everywhere by using internet as tools.

Sarker said, “Billions of people now are connected via this cyber space where from small to larger section of community connecting by using Twitter, Face-book; and many are Globally accomplishing the Jihadi activities”.

However, in US there are many ways which control cyber crimes in that country, which can be followed by Indian security agency too. One of these methods is : Faception. Faception is a method where by face analysis the terrorists can be identified. However this method is very much popular at US, especially after 9 / 11 attack.

“Cyber Security is a domain where counter terrorism is used to shut various key areas of social network. By cyber security we can identify who are using such networks, who are the followers and connected with those networks”, said Sarker.

“If internet was not there the terrorist could never been globally connected in such a way. 70 % of the crimes in terrorism would not develop so radically which are done via internet”, said Sarker.

“To maintain the data base is very important key of cyber security”, he added. “The data would say how many requests to the groups are going, how they are getting connected and who are the persons—these data will reveal that too”, Sarker said.

“The aim of cyber security is to identify as much as probable suspected people”, he said.

“After 9 / 11 experience US is following  all the techniques and they have been successful to technically fight against terrorism”, said Sarker.

“As all kinds of works including brainwashing of innocents, arm-purchasing are done by internet but such issues can be stopped once the security force are trained to it”, he added.

“In Northeast India there have been very poor respond to cyber security process. In Tripura this lack of knowledge in cyber security has resulted in panic. Not only terrorism but it has been seen that various parts of the state is using the corridor for all narcotic business”, he added.

“In few places like Boxnagar, Sonamura Ganja cultivation is developing like tea gardens”, he added.

“Thus cyber security is one of the critical issued which need to be adopted by NE part of India”, Sarkar said adding various increasing crimes in Mizoram-Tripura / Indo-Bangla border areas.
