AGARTALA, Aug 21 (TIWN): As many as 10 central trade unions have decided to go ahead with their call for a one-day pan-India strike on September 2, with no positive response from the government on their 12-point charter of demand.
The 10 central trade unions have decided to go on strike on September 2, 2016 and supporting the decision of the trade unions Tripura Khet Majdoor Union have also extended their support in the strike.
Addressing the press meet, Tripura Khet Majdoor Union member on Sunday at Melarmath stated The attitude of the NDA Government is profoundly negative and hugely challenging to the working class including Central Govt. employees.
The issues in the Charter of demands submitted by the Trade Unions to the Govt. relate to basic interest of the country’s economy and also issues concerning the livelihood of the working people of both organized and unorganized sectors.
However raising voice against the negligent attitude, the Tripura Khet Majdoor Union have also extended their support in the strike.
