AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): Just few hours ahead of Independence Day celebration in Tripura, Airport police official on Sunday morning arrested on Nigerian Youth from Agartala Airport with fake documents. The arrested youth is identified as Thaiok Nowabo. Talking to TIWN correspondent, Airport Police personnel said that sensing suspicion, the police on Sunday morning arrested the Nigerian Youth from Airport for interrogation. While interrogation police recovered some fake documents from the youth and further dragged him to police station. Police and other security agencies have been put on high alert on the border and checking of vehicles has been strengthened. We are leaving nothing to chance," the top police official said. An alert has been sounded in Uttar Pradesh following intelligence reports that a terrorist group may try to sneak in from the Bangladesh border, police said.

It is to be mentioned here that in the wake of Independence Day celebration the CRPF battalion is doing continuous inspection at the public places, roads, vehicles, hotels, hospital, markets and many other place s only with the aim to conduct error free Independence Day celebration. 

Security is beefed up along bordering areas of the northeastern states of Tripura in wake of Independence-Day. The Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) have deployed additional forces to step up vigil in the state bordering with neighbouring Bangladesh just after the days ahead of the Independence Day celebrations on August 15.

The BSF official said that strength of security forces was augmented in vital areas of the state especially in the areas where the barbed wire fencings are yet to be constructed.

However the arrest of Nigerian youth without any original documents has sparked off huge panic in the state ahead of I-day celebration.
