AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): BJP’s state committee president Sudhindra Dasgupta urged all section of people in the state to support dawn-to-dusk strike on May 12, while addressing a press meet here at party office on Sunday afternoon.
Addressing a media person BJP state president accused Jindal of playing a partisan role in the election and failing to discharge his duties in a neutral manner. He also criticized the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officers' Association and the Tripura Civil Service (TCS) Officers' Association; he accused the two organizations of supporting Jindal's 'crime' and CPM's electoral malpractice.
He also warned that unless the EC took action against Jindal and the officials allegedly involved in poll rigging, BJP would continue to demonstrate even after the declaration of results on May 16.
"According to Jindal's statement, the two seats polled about 60% votes till 4 pm, but two hours later, he revised the figure to 85%. Maximum booths remained empty though," he said. Dasgupta claimed CPM had rigged about 15 to 20% votes in Tripura with the help of polling personnel.
Terming Congress party a traitor, BJP state president stated that the parties decision not to support the bandh proves they are hand in gloves of CPIM. He also demanded the Left ruled state government should take responsibility of all teachers whose recruitments was cancelled by High Court of Tripura.
