AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN):Tripura Pradesh Congress today organized protest rally over employment scam across the state. Addressing a protest rally here at Battala, Sudip Roy Barman leader of the opposition said,"We have been demanding for teachers' appointment through TET according to RTE Act but Left Front government did not pay any attention rather misinterpreted the demand saying Congress is misguiding and responsible for the termination of school teachersâ€.
He also maintained that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar should resign for the mistake of his party and government beside has to ensure the victim teachers about their earnings after December 31, this year. .
"All the jobless persons have to be shifted to other government departments in non-teaching posts considering their merit and skill who will they are not responsible for their appointment in wrong manner," the opposition leader demanded.
A division bench of High Court of Tripura comprises with Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice S C Das yesterday cancelled the job of 10,323 teachers including 1100 post graduate teachers, 4617 graduate teachers and 4606 under graduate teachers who had been appointed in three different phases since 2010.
Moreover, the employment policy of the teacher is violating Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, which mandated the appointment of teachers through eligibility test under an independent body.
