AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): The AICC is likely to bring a massive change in the organizational set in the Marxist ruled Tripura after the Lok Sabha elections, according to party sources here.
Senior party leaders like Birajit Sinha, Gopal Roy and Dilip Sarkar are not happy with the way organization is going on despite opportunities to trouble the Manik Sarkar led government.

“Delhi is well aware about the happening in Tripura. Since, the party leadership is grappling with the Lok Sabha election process, Rahul Gandhi would take a drastic steps to revamp the organization for the future”, said a PCC leader who has good connection with party leadership in Delhi.

Pointing out the mess in the party, a senior leader informed, “The party could not organize campaign in the Parliamentary elections because of fund crunch (!). The PCC received an amount of Rs. 10 lakh to meet the election expenditure on April 11, a day before the completion of Lok Sabha election here”.

Another senior leader said, “Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee turns Congress (S) with the help of AICC general secretary Luizinho Faleiro. One lobby is dominating the organization as well as CLP while others were made to remain dormant”.

“If the AICC doesn’t take remedial measures immediately, the party will suffer in the upcoming three-tier Panchayat elections scheduled to be held in July”, said he.

Senior leaders want the PCC to launch massive agitational programme rather registering complaint with the EC or the court/ police. “Sending a team lodge complaint with the EC will not serve any purpose, the leaders along with workers and supporters must hit the streets to protest the rights of common people”, said a two-time MLA.
