AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): Following the mass agitation displayed on Friday at Agartala City, CPI-M Ministers immediately held a press meet.

3 Ministers : Transport Minister Manik Dey, Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha and PWD Minister Badal Choudhury remained present in that press conference.

With the 2 month's long fuel crisis in state Tripura, the patience of people couldn’t be stored anymore  as on Friday Army and huge number of police had to be deployed to control the mass-anger.

Addressing the press meet PWD Minister Badal Choudhury said that the fuel crisis situation is self created by central and Assam Govt. leading odd situations in Tripura.

As NH-8 belongs to Assam Govt. so it’s fully their responsibility to improve that portion. Although the state Govt of Tripura told the Assam Govt.. many times to take initiatives, but there is no sign of development in Assam-Tripura road.

“As a result Tripura Govt. will take initiative to improve that portion with state govt.’s own fund”, added Badal Choudhury.

“Assam-Tripura road doesn’t matter for Assam , but it’s the life-line of Tripura. So the headache also belongs to Tripura Govt. That’s why we are taking own initiative”, he added.

But Badal Choudhry further said, “We also sent letter to the central Govt., but all are in vain”. He also mentioned about the food crisis situation, price hike but he imposed all the blames on the Assam Govt.

Moreover, Badal Choudhury also showed pictures of National Highway to the media.

“Tripura road’s condition from Churaibari to Dharmanagar taking atleast 300 KM is in bad shape. Tripura Govt. will invest state-fund in this renovation”, he added.

About Petrol Crisis, he mentioned 21 tankers already entered in state and more 60 tankers within tomorrow morning will enter.
