AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): In a massive accident at Khejur bagan on Wednesday under New Capital Complex police station adjacent to Tripura High court, 4 pedestrian were left seriously injured when a car bearing number TR01AF 0290 dashed the four person and turned upside down due to brake failure. Reckless driving on Wednesday early morning spreaded huge panic in the area after four person were left seriously injured in the accident when they were walking by the road side. The incident triggered huge panic among the people when the car turned upside down after losing control over the brakes under new capital complex police station at Khejur bagan. The sources confirmed that at least four persons were left seriously injured. The injured are identified as Sanjit Roy, Mukesh Roy, Dhiru Roy, and Dhitai Roy. However, among them Sanjit Roy is left critically injured and there is least chance of his survival. All of them are identified as migrated friom Bihar.

The incident took place on Wednesday morning when the driver was driving the car in a huge speed and losing control over the brakes the car turned upside down and four persons were left seriously injured.

Police is suspecting that after losing the control over the car dashed all the dividers along the road and turned upside down. Police is also suspecting that driver was intoxicated and lost control over the brakes.

Road accidents-leading to death and injuries has become a regular stuff. Getting alarm the NCC police reached the spot and immediately rushed the injured to the nearby hospital

The sourced also said that a fire service crew also rushed to the spot and rescued the victims in critical condition from the spot.

It is to be mentioned here that agitated localites of Khejur Bagan area sat the car on fire by pouring kerosene. However, panic gripped the area following the incident.

However, the victims are undergoing treatment at hospital, but as per the doctors there is least chance of survival for two of them as they are critically injured. Police is further investigating the case.

It is to be mentioned here; Tripura Traffic Police and Tripura Police Department have been facing a very tough time to prevent the number of road accidents in the state which are allegedly claiming life of several people for last few months.

The numbers of road mishaps are alarmingly increased in the state for last few months but the traffic police department is surprisingly playing silent role instead of taking proper initiative over the road accident issue.

However, by the time police reached the spot the driver managed to flee and Police is further investigating the case.
