Agartala, May 6 (TIWN): Guessing the tough days ahead, the CPM looks set to strengthen its organization from grassroot to district level before three-tier Panchayat elections, party sources confirmed here today.
The state committee had already approved the revamping plan for organization in the line of West Bengal to strengthen the party right from grassroot level.
The party will have district committee for each district which is supposed to handle the organization under the direct guidance of the state committee. And, each district committee will be headed by a ‘genuine comrade’ to save party from ‘possible’ danger.
Besides district committee, the party is all set to constituted subdivisional level committee. And, the existing divisional committees, local committees and branch committee will act as well.
According to political analysts, the revamping move of CPM assumes significance keeping in mind of the ‘possible outcome’ of the Lok Sabha elections.
Opinion polls suggested the saffron party led NDA looks set to form the next government under the leadership of Narendra Modi at Delhi. And if Mamata Banerjee gets more than 30 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and Trinamool Congress secures good share of votes in Tripura, the organization may face tough time after the general election.
Keeping all factors in mind, the ruling party has been trying utmost to retain the power here by way if adopting various measures, according to analysts.
Many ruling party leaders admitted it’s not Congress or INPT, only Mamata Banerjee could give tough fight to the CPM in Tripura in the days to come as she is well aware about the strategy of the Marxist party.
