AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): After Tripura Govt. had taken Rs. 250 crores of loan.to clear various unpaid power bills, the Govt. has now planned to gather the amount from common people. Tripura Govt. on the one hand paying poor 4% of DA, poor pay scale to its employees, on the other hand, via Municipality Govt. has decided to loot the public fund. In a press meet BJP spokesperson M K Deb told media that Municipality is changing various rules to grab more public funds.

Hike in Assessment and Collection of Property tax will screw the public now, Deb said. He said, the way Annual Value property has been considered it will become too much costly to bear for common people. Agartala town has been divided into 4 parts A B C D, among which minimum value is Rs. 500 per square feet, with 10 % unit value area. So 1 Ganda = Rs. 864/- SF. So in Agartala City the people who has A Caterory house ( 3 ganda) s/he has to give every month 19,800/- and every year he has to give- 1 lakh 29 thousand 600/-Question arises, why suddenly Municipality is becoming so much money-sucker?

Talking to BJP State President Biplab Deb over phone, he said, whereas Agartala Municipality has enlarged Agartala area with Barjala and Suryamaninagar, on the other hand the areas are left without water, electricity and other proper facility.

But Municipality has surprisingly increased taxes in Agartala City.

It’s worthy to mention here that for each and every purpose Govt. is grabbing public money to strengthen the party fund. Already Govt. is forcefully taking money from the govt. employees as Tripura Govt. to challenging the HC at Supreme Court regarding 31 % DA for govt. employees.

Tripura has huge amount of unpaid tax payers, including Govt. high officials like DGP K Nagraj and Ministers like Bijita Nath’s names are also recorded.  But Tripura Govt.’s silence has bound the Central Govt. to sent its Tax Commissioners  to aware the public of Tripura to pay immediate Taxes within September 30. But the Poor people’s govt. to suck public blood with the changing rules.

Now Govt. has found another way to loot public fund via Municipality.

As election-2018 is coming closer, so Tripura Govt. is planning to increase the party fund and and now the common people have been victimized.
