TMC claims to form government in 2018 in Tripura, boasts TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee

AGARTALA/KOLKATA, July 22 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday while attending the annual mass rally organized by the All India Trinamool Congress to commemorate the 1993 Kolkata firing as Martys' Day on July 21, gave a clamour that TMC will form government in 2018 Tripura Assembly election.

As a part of the program Tripura TMC leader Sudip Roy Barman  was also present in the program at west Bengal.

The 21 July Martyr's Day Rally is an annual mass rally organized by the All India Trinamool Congress to commemorate the 1993 Kolkata firing as Martys' Day. It is in remembrance of 13 people shot by the West Bengal Police in Kolkata, during a rally by the West Bengal Youth Congress under Mamata Bandopadhyay on 21 July 1993, while demanding Voter's Identity Card to be made sole required document for voting.

"Trinamool Congress would come to power in the next assembly polls in Tripura in 2018. Ending of Left Front's misrule is a matter of time. TMC would be a major opposition group in the state assembly soon," said barman. Tripura 2018 Assembly to see a new phase of election as TMC is likely to emerge a strong party in the state.

It is to  be mentioned here that  TMC Chief Mamata Banerjeee after winning a landslide victory in WB election Mamata Banerjee clamoured and said that “My next target is Tripura” After the landslides victory of TMC Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated the people West Bengal in her so popular term " Maa Mati Manush ". Quite significantly Mamata Banerjee categorically mentioned ," Now its time to look after Tripura. Tripura needs to be treated now . " This defeat has certainly weakened the Bengal lobby of CPI-M in the Central Committee  and Politburo

Criticizing the state ruled left front government, Barman  said that days are not so far when the people themselves will threw away the government from the state and will give a call to corruption free government. Corruption is touching the high sky under the rule of the left front government, claimed Barman.

Sudip Roy Barman, who was the opposition leader as head of the Congress legislator party (CLP), recently resigned from the post, protesting against Congress-Left electoral alliance in the recently held West Bengal assembly elections.

Following Barman's resignation, state Congress working president Ashish Saha, Youth Congress' state chief Sushanta Chowdhury, women's front state head Kalyani Roy and scheduled caste front chief Prakash Chandra Das and many party leaders and workers quit their posts on the same issue.
