AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): Just one day after Trinamool Congress had blocked the railway tracks at Dharmanagar rail-station, in a press meet Asish Saha has announced that they will go for Chakka-Jam on July 23d, protesting against the continuous petrol/ diesel crisis in state.
On that day for one hour the vehicle movement will be stopped fully.
As 23rd will be fall as Saturday, so it will be a working day. Due to the road blockade the office goers and common people would be ready to suffer for an hour.
It’s to be mentioned here that state Tripura is acutely suffering from petrol/ diesel crisis since last 1 month. But this is due to NH-44’s pathetic condition and due to black marketing of fuel.
But the political parties always aims the common people to suffer. Whereas the Ministers are roaming in AC Cars and chopper rides, it’s the common people who have to stand in long lines for petrol. It’s the common people who will be immovable on July 23rd on road.
On Tuesday, Trinamool Congress at Dharmanangar halted railway service in demand of Silchar-Dharmanagar, Dharmanagar-Agartala and Agartala-Silchar local train. But due to that pre-announced strike the passengers at Dharmanagar rail-station has faced a troubled time.
But question arises, why political parties choose the common people to suffer? Can’t they stop Minister’s vehicles to come out of residence or can’t they block the road going to secretariat?
Drivers, patients, travelers, office workers are political parties aim always. For the corruption and political drama it’s only the common people who have to suffer in this so called ‘DEMOCRACY’.
TMC’s demand is logical, but their ways to torture common mass is nothing but “Goondaraj”.
However, sources said that Trinamool is doing all these as with the arrival of WB Chief Minister Mamata Banarjee TMC will use many vehicles which needs much fuel. As fuel wasting will become a matter of controversy, on August 5, August 9 so TMC is doing street drama an crying for Fuel.
On July 18, TMC President Ratan Chakraborty during a press meet expressed concerned about the ongoing fuel crisis which may halt the political campaigning before the arrival of Mamata Banarjee on 9th August.
Keeping eyes on West Bengal Chief Minister’s arrival in state Trinamool Congress is going to organize many political rallies from August 1st to August 8.Moreover, on August 5 there will be a huge gathering along with mass rally of Tripura Trinamool at Agartala. On that day people from most of the corners of the state are scheduled to arrive in Agartala to support TMC.
However, TMC President has expressed concern about the ongoing fuel crisis and said, ‘As people from far distance will come to Agartala on 5th August and 9th August, so party needs many vehicles with full of fuels”.
As the petrol pumps are running dry, the political gathering of Trinamool party on coming days may become a matter of criticism for public. In this situation petrol crisis is a Hot topic for protest for Trinamool, and they can save their party image before wasting thousand and thousand liters of petrol on August 5 and August 9.
