AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Tripura’s misery seems to have no respite from wrongdoings of Political parties as ruling CPI-M to opponent Trinamool resorting to public disruptions for the sake of instant political mileages. TMC chosen to raise demands for Silchar-Dharmanagar, Dharmanagar-Agartala and Agartala-Silchar local trains whereas Modi Govt already implementing those BG railway expansions in Tripura. Tripura is suffering from various crisis situations as NH-44 in dilapidated condition, petrol, diesel prices sky high in blackmarkets but it failed to stop Trinamool Congress enacting an irresponsible drama by halting railway service for hours at Dharmanagar. Thousands of hapless railway passengers had no other options than surrendering their fate to Trinamool goons as they blocked Dharmanangar NFR railway service. Modi Govt brought BG Train service to Tripura, so TMC leader (still holding Congress MLA seat) Bishwabandhu Sen’s Congress party did for 30 years in power in Delhi ?
On Tuesday, Trinamool Congress (mostly former Congress supporters) displayed similar madness like Mamata’s Bengal where shutting down public service for the sake of fulfilling political whim & fancies are routine affairs.
Trinamul’s irresponsible drama continued for hours at Dharmanagar Railway Station.
TMC also demanded to resuming the passenger train service from Tripura to other states. Tripura Trinamool Congress had also placed deputation to the NFR GM H K Jaggi, on July 15.
Trinamool Congress said unless and until the rail-service is resumed they will continue their protest, or TMC will block rail-line after 15 days.
According to TMC, after the installation of Broad gauge line quite successfully the sufferings of a huge number of passengers who intend to travel apart from Agartala and Dhamanagar everyday still continues.
It seems that the railway connectivity presently exists properly only between Silchar-Kumarghat everyday thereby making it difficult for the passenger of rest part to travel both inside and outside the state.
Rail-disruption was orchestrated by TMC leader (Congress MLA as he is yet to surrender Cong MLA seat) Biswabandhu Sen at Dharmanagar Rail-Station.
Biswabandhu Sen said, “Tripura is also surrounded by Bangladesh from 3 corners and the present turbulent condition therein also doesn’t permit the people of the state to reach out side via Bangladesh, and taking advantage of the situation the airline companies have sky-rocketed their prices. So, the passenger local train service will bring a relief”.
So TMC has demanded for the immediate commencement of the full-fledged rail-connectivity between Agartala-Dharmanagar / Dharmanagar-Silchar considering the geographical location and need of the people of the state.
But question arises, by halting Dharmanagar Railway Station for hours and causing public sufferings what TMC gained ?
1. Was this public drama necessary to disrupt NFR service ?
2. NH-44 is already collapsed, why causing suffering to common public ?
3. Tripura was blessed with Broad gauge train service by Modi Govt. NFR is trying it’s best to regularize service in Tripura but irresponsible politicians continue to hamper public service.
4. Monsoon has hit public life. Why TMC has blocked rail-transport, whereas roadways are already in horrible condition ?
2 years ongoing National Highway 44 (8) problem is affecting Tripura’s economy, creating crisis within the state but State Govt. playing role of mute spectator.
NH-44 (8) muddy roads has affected the vehicle movements, almost crippled Tripura’s economy.
In this situation, authorities should arrest all irresponsible political leaders like Bishwabandhu Sen and dump them in jail for few months.
