BSF increases vigil at Indo-Bangla border across State, TIWN visits Red alert Border areas:  Patrolling held at Lankamura border ahead of Eid : SP West talks to TIWN

AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): Following the massacre at Bangladesh and killing of Hindus by Fundamentalists at that neighboring country, Tripura Govt. as per the instruction of Home Minister Rajnath Singh ordered for high vigilance just one day before Eid ceremony. In this regard, the Border Security Force (BSF) has increased vigil along the Indo-Bangla border in the backdrop of the terror attack in Dhaka and has launched special operations. TIWN correspondent visited Lankamura Indo-Bangla Border, where patrolling was held by BSF Jawans to ensure the peace and to prevail any unwanted incident and to stop any Terrorist intrusion inside the state. BSF Jawans on duty at Indo-Bangla Border in Lankamura are constantly on work, as Red alert have been implemented in borders across the state. Talking to TIWN Correspondent over phone Abhijit Saptarshi, SP West said, “Chief Minister has ordered the Tripura Police to co-operate with BSF so that the peace may be maintained well as neighboring B’desh is suffering from Communal Clashes’. Police official sources further said that as it is the festival season of Eid, there will be a strict vigil on the border. But after Friday's attack in Bangladesh, they have further increased the vigil along the border.

Apart from Tripura in many states which are lined by Bangladesh have issued high alerts and special operations are on there.

BSF is also in touch with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and is keeping a close eye on the situation.

In this regard Tripura CM expressed his concern about Border situation during the Crime-Review-Meeting held at DM office on Monday.  Chief Secretary Y P Sing and DGP  KNagraj, Minister Manik Dey were also present during the meeting. Principal Secretary M Nagaraju, SP Abhijit Saptarshi, IGP Anurag were also present.

CM further expressed concern about the border security and asked to bring into high vigilance as Indo-Bangla border areas are in much risks and he also said being the citizen of neighboring country Bangldesh and also asked the Police officials to cooperate with Border Security Force.

It’s worthy to mention here that Tripura border area’s public are in panic as everyday people are dying at Bangladesh out of communal clashes initiates by Muslim fundamentalists. As Tripura is Hindu populated state, sharing the land with Muslim and other Minorities so the sensitive border areas now under strict observation of BSF Jawans with the aim to maintain the ‘Peace’ of the state.
