AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Tripura Health Dept. Principal Secretary on Friday shocked the public during Doctor’s Day celebration at Sukhanta Academy with his insensitive speech against Tripura rural patients attitude against the rougue Doctors and miserable state of expired medicine stuffed Hospitals.Principal Secretary Nagaraju was blind enough to ignore the wrongdoings of 3 Doctors namely Manti Chakma (Child-specialist), Apritam Mohon Debbarma (Gynecologist) and Debashish Debroy .Mentioning about the 3 babies death recently at Dharmanagar Hospital, Nagaraju ignorantly commented, “The 3 babies were different kind of patients and their symptoms were different”.“But without understanding, the people harassed the doctor, spoiled the atmosphere of the hospital which is against the principles”, Nagaraju added. Question remains, How could Principal Secretary give lectures of ethics and principal in exchange of 3 innocent lives due to his Dept's failure to supply non-expired medicines, good medical service?”

Moreover he added, “Proper Education would change the attitude of such public with better understanding”.

On June 28, 3 infants died  after Doctors pushed injection to them. Reportedly, after the medicine was injected in their bodies the children’s whole body, including lips became blue and immediately they died.Polio injection most likely was poisonous or expired or wrong medicine. However, the real cause could not be discovered.The 3 of the deceased was 1 day baby children who died due to the wrong treatment. The first deceased was the new born baby of Rinku das, W/O-Mantush Das, resident of South Ganganagar Ward No.-5. The second one was child of Pramesh Nath and Roni Bhowmik, resident of Nadiapur, Sanichara, Ward No-1. The 3rd Children was child of Sahida Jahan Ahmed and Samsul Hawk, resident of Amtali, Kadamtala.

Nagaraju further lectured the media how to deliver the “Correct News”.

He also lectured the doctors for better communication so that no misunderstanding can develop between the doctor and the patient party. “Blaming each / other is neither good for the patients-doctor relation nor for the society”.

M Nagaraju also mentioned about the mutuality of the Doctor and Patient party and via proper communication in the first meet with the patients the trust of the patients would be achieved.

He gave examples that in Western Society Doctor just nicely communicates with the patients and then never show their faces again to the patients. The nurses and other officials takes the charge and this is how it works with nice communication and skill development of the doctors via which they understand the patients’ problem in the first meeting.

However, Nagaraju didn’t forget to advertize about AGMC and Govt. health service under CPI-M Govt. and said, “excellent doctors are there who can achieve the confidence of the public”.
