AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): The road blockade over NH-44 and Railway service has called misery for common people, said CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar to TIWN.
Tripura’s lifeline NH-44 is in bad condition and out of that IPFT’s 1 day long strike has disrupted business, vehicle movement and passenger, drivers miseries have no end.
He further said, ‘Tripura’s NH-44 is in pathetic condition and already Assam and Tripura are majorly suffering from Transport problems. In this situation 24 hour’s strike shows what their intension’.
‘They just trying to create problems, to halt development’, he added.
Normal life in Tripura’s NH-44 was on Wednesday disrupted due to a strike called by separatists in demand of separate state.
Rail service was also halted on that day.
The ruling Govt. however condemned the strike and CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar said, ‘Such political group’s intension will never be successful’.
