AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Corruption tainted Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar on Monday inaugurated two day long training program for the officials of Finance Department organised by the committee on public finance and government accounting at Pragna Bhawan.

However, the first day session was addressed with the Auditing concepts and process. Emphasis was also laid on the nature scope and significance of auditing along with basic principal of governing an audit and the process.

However, the speakers at the program also laid stress on the definition and description of internal auditing, involving techniques of internal audit, functions and responsibilities of internal auditors and also organisational status of Internal auditing function.

Norms of property audit, compliance audit and efficiency audit were also discussed in the training.

The second day of the financial training program will also held discussion on internal control, component of internal control, audit frame work, audit engagement and documentation and others.

However, as per the scheduled the second day of the training session will held detailed discussion on format and content of the audit report, audit report on financial statement and supplementary test report conducted by C&AG.

It is to be mentioned here that, along with Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar, Sahadeb Das, Director Audit Government, Dr. Nikhil Saket (secretary CPF and GA, ICAI) along with others remained present in the program.
