Preparation on peak to celebrate World Yoga Day on Tuesday

AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Preparation on peak to celebrate ‘World Yoga Day’ on June 21st at Vivekananda Maydan, Agartala and in many parts of the state.

Yoga celebration spots is being announced by miking on Monday.

Already celebration of Yoga Day has been started across Tripura as International Yoga Day which is actually on June 21 has been observed at Agartala City Centre by Prajapita Bhrahmakumari since June 16.

Apart from this organization, various organizations including Boarder Security Force (BSF), Assam Riffles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and many other observe Yoga demonstration and practice session to celebrate the nationwide International Yoga Day.

Other public health centres are also to celebrate this day on Tuesday.

Last year, as part of the celebration, 2500 families of Assam Rifles have participated at the demonstration. Reportedly, On the occasion of world’s first International Yoga Day all the NCC camps of various schools and Colleges participated at the Assam Rifle ground. Around 4000 cadet participated at the programme observed on Sunday.

The UN General Assembly had in December last year adopted an India-led resolution, supported by over 175 UN member states, declaring June 21 as 'International Day of Yoga', recognising that "Yoga provides a holistic approach to health and well-being".

The day kicked off with Prime Minister Participation at the massive Yoga demonstration at the Rajpath. 

Yoga is believed to cause the peace of mind in human being and keeps the health strong.

The science of Yoga imbibe itself the complete essence of the Way of Life, including - Gyan Yoga or philosophy, Bhakti Yoga or path of devotional bliss, Karma Yoga or path of blissful action, and Raja Yoga or path of mind control. Raja Yoga is further divided into eight parts. At the heart of the Raja Yoga system, balancing and unifying these various approaches, is the practice of Yoga Asana.
