KAMALPUR, June 14 (TIWN): The office had seen its officer last in December 2014 as no officer was appointed in that office after the transfer of the former officer at that time. The office owned a half-complete water tank gifted from the part of the Nagar Panchayat almost two years ago. But till date no connectivity got provided into the tank. Only one LDC got posted in the office for doing all the official works. And he had to go to the District Office at Ambassa for the signature of the officer for bills and all the official documents. Jungle covered a large portion of the office. And the so-called hyper active development keen local leaders and the Minister of the department not found it necessary to adopt measures to uplift the condition of the office.
The condition prevailed in the sub-divisional office of the YAS department at Kamalpur for last two years. The officer-less office could not provide any sort of facility to the players and youths. The Physical Instructors also remained passing their time happily as none remained there to instruct them. And the single LDC got virtually squeezed in the work pressure.
What remained more pathetic and irresponsible from the part of the administration as well as the department that the higher up officials or the Minister never found it necessary to visit the office or to adopt serious outlook about the office. The local ruling party leaders who used to claim themselves development keen and very thoughtful about the development of the locality, remained mere spectator about the plight of this office.
