Howrah-Agartala Passenger Train service from 14th June

AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): There is no passenger train service from Silchar to lumding station till tomorrow. But there is Ghost train service for last few days through the route. Passenger Train will be started soon. Y N Singh area manager Badarpur Division while talking to TIWN said that Howra – Agartala Subhidha Express Train will be started from 14th June from Howra at 6.35 AM. Subsequently Subhidha Express Train will also start its journey from Agartala at 7.30 AM on 16th June.

The train will operate three days – 16, 23 and 30 June from this month. Railway minister Suresh Prabhu likely to inaugurate the Train service in presence of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.

” Suvidha Special” Express train with nineteen AC coaches which would operate between Agartala to Howrah.  Every Tuesday the train would start from Howrah and reach Agartala on Thursday. On the same day, the train would depart for Howrah. The train would halt in eleven stations on its runway.

In Tripura, the train after departing from Agartala would  halt only in Dharmanagar station. After Dharmanagar, in Assam it would halt in Karimganj, Badarpur, New haflong, Mandardhisa, Hojai, Guwahati, Goalpara Town and New Bangaon station. In West Bengal the train would halt in three station – New Cooch Bihar, New Jalpaiguri and Malda town. The train will not pass through Lumding station.

The train would take 34 hours 25 minutes to reach Agartala from Howrah. Every Tuesday, the train would leave from Howrah at 6.35 PM evening and reach Agartala on Thursday 4.55 AM morning and  it leaves from Agartala 7.30 AM morning and reach Howrah on Friday at 6 PM evening.
