KAMALPUR, June 10 (TIWN): The actual scenario of the administration of so-called ‘golden regime’ deteriorated virtually at all the levels. The lack of officers and staffs made the situation worse adding to the problem.

And as a result, the commoners had to suffer the most for different services. The situation of the sub-divisional administration turned very grave in the context of service to the commoners. The commoners had to roam into the office of the SDM for day after day for different purposes. And the three DCMs had to struggle virtually for maintaining day to day works.

One of the three DCMs got bestowed with the responsibility of the Nagar Panchayat. The rest of the two DCMs had to maintain the office works. And they had to cope with numerous departments. For example, the DCM Amaresh Barman had to handle the works of Election, a part of Judiciary, online marriage registration, sub-registry, online khatian registration, mutation related works, DM office related works and enquiries etc. The DCMs had to work till late night and still the heaps of pending works increase day by day.

Moreover, with the initiative of Digital India, as the district turned into e-district, the pressure of the work became more. And in this context, the DCM Office at Salema had to be closed day after day. Even almost three years ago, five DCMs were in the SDM Office. But after their transfer only three DCMs had to conduct all the works. And the situation made the plight of the commoners worsen day by day.
