AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Placing deputation to DGP K. Nagraj on Wednesday at police Head quarter, BJP demanded strict action against the prime accused in to the Hrishyamukh Indo-Bangla border area incident where BJP supporter along with BJP VP Subal bhowmik was allegedly attacked by the CPI-M cadres.

BJP state President Biplab Deb said that if action is not taken against the accused as the earliest state BJP will seek central Home Minister Intervention to look into the issue.

State BJP President Biplab Deb told reporters that "CPI-M cadres attacked a meeting held by state BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik in Belonia. Seven of our party members were injured."

Reportedly, the BJP organised demonstrations and protest rallies in Belonia in South Tripura and Agartala immediately after the incident. The party also held demonstrations across the state.

It is to be mentioned here that BJP was celebrating the 2 years of Modi Govt.’s governance at centre, where 7 families joined BJP from CPI-M at Amzadnagar, Hrishyamukh Indo-Bangla area. But suddenly, few bunch of CPI-M cadres in a planned way with sharp weapons had attacked upon Subal Bhowmik and to save Subal Bhowmik the BJP members were massively attacked by CPI-M cadres.

Although FIR has been lodged against 3 chief goons named ---1. Bhanu Dhar, 2. Nabi Mia, 3. Chabbar Mia (a Govt. employee in Agriculture office at Belonia), but none of them are yet arrested.

In this regard BJP staged massive protest across the state. BJP has also started a ‘Democratic movement’ and if required they will ask the Central Home Ministry to take action against this shameful experience.

Such goondaism would not be able to stop the growth of BJP in Tripura. We would continue our organisational work. We would also apprise Governor Tathagata Roy of the situation," said the BJP state chief.
