AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Without proper telecommunication service, a state can not be progressed. Although Tripura is located in the northern-eastern zone of the state, but Modi Govt. tried to convert the state digitally advanced with high speed internet. But the state govt. never cared to interfere much in telecommunication set ups building by BSNL in the name of ‘Internet Gateway’, resulting in poor communication service across the state.

Due to Govt.’s interest since the beginning the internet service has not been started fully functional and lack of observance during the underlying cabling work, held by BSNL, the state is unable to get any profit after the 3 months of the project inauguration by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and B’desh PM Sheikh Hasina.

The cost estimated as around Rs. 8 crores in total, as claimed by BSNL. BSNL was to lease the bandwidth from Cox’s Bazaar (in Bangladesh) internet port to its own node at Agartala.  But instead of pressuring upon BSNL again and again there is no availability of High-speed internet in state Tripura.

From Banking service to all projects are hampered due to the poor internet connectivity.

The internet gateway was jointly built by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) and connected to the 10-GB bandwidth at Akhaura checkpost in Agartala in January.

But after all these, although India's telecommunication network is considered as the second largest in the world based on the total number of telephone users, in Tripura there is no upgradation in telecommunication service.

Here people ends up with few social media and chat-box uses in mobile phones.

Tripura IT Minister, C’s lack of interest in High-Network service has left the state as almost handicapped in the ‘World-of-Digitalization’.
