The Howrah River’s Pollution is now at such a high level that the amount of toxins, chemicals and other dangerous bacteria found in the river are now almost threatening a danger to the lives of the people.

Water of Howrah river is the main source of water for Agartala city and is also said as the life-line for Agartala, however, days are not far when the city will face severe crisis of water if the pollution continues at this large level.
