AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): In case of Tripura’s economical growth state govt. has been focused on Rubber plantation instead of tea, bamboo and agriculture. After the budget session 2016, on Saturday during a business meet on Saturday at Pragna Bhawan organzed by ASSOCHAM group of Industries, Tripura Industry secretary M Nagaraju as well as industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty said that Tripura comes 2nd after Kerala in Rubber plantation and Tripura Govt. trying to upgrade it more. But Govt. might have forgotten that in Tripura rubber was almost a new trend in business, which replaced the agricultural profession, now acting as a major threat to the environment.

In this FY document provided to the media by Tripura Govt.---where Rubber was considered as Natural Resource, but in actual it’s almost a chemical resource to destroy the weather in the name of ‘Natural Reserved Resource. Rubber plantation is also hugely responsible for the growing temperature and heat. In 2016-17 FY Tripura  Finance Dept. valued Rubber to boost the “Economy”, more than bamboo and agriculture.

In many developing countries rubber plantation has been banned, but Tripura Govt. is adopting newly this business, which proves the govt. as “Environmental" unfriendly.

Whereas scientists are worried about the changes from rubber plantation, as it impacts badly on environmental factors such as biodiversity and the hydrological cycle, Tripura’s FY 2016-17 is undergoing with rubber business supportive attitude.

Ironically, some governments have encouraged rubber plantations as a replacement for traditional agricultural systems because they believed that they were more economically friendly.

Both Kerala and Tripura (Ruled by CPI-M) thus suffering hugely from extreme heat, various skin disease as rubber plantation is growing high.

Rubber plantations are expanding rapidly here in Tripura. These changes will impact badly on environmental factors such as biodiversity and the hydrological cycle.

Such environmental-unfriendly Govts are major responsible for  major environmental threats.

Staying in AC rooms and riding via AC vehicles Ministers might not realize how Global warming is torturing the human lives in Tripura.
