TIWN June 5, 2016

AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Tripura 2018 Assembly to see a new phase of election as TMC is likely to emerge a strong party in the state. With the arrival of TMC leader Mukul Roy in the state it has given a clamour that CPI-M will get a tough competition in the 2018 assembly election, said Asish Saha.

With the aim to rejuvenate the set up of the TMC party in the state, TMC leader Mukul Roy arrived in the state on a one day visit.

Talking to TIWN correspondent, Former Congress leader Asish Saha said that as TMC Chief Mamata Banerjeee after winning a landslide victory in WB election Mamata Banerjee clamoured and said that “My next target is Tripura” however, with Mukul Roy’s arrival it seems that Mamata has started implementing her words. Several leaders from Tripura have established contact with her for the past few days.

Roy arrived in Agartala on Friday morning as an representative of TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and held a series of meetings with seven Congress legislators led by suspended leader Sudip Roy Barman and top leaders of the tribal-based Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT).

"Trinamool Congress would come to power in the next assembly polls in Tripura in 2018. Ending of Left Front's misrule is a matter of time. TMC would be a major opposition group in the state assembly soon," Roy told to reporters.

With green signal from TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee, the path for joining TMC for the former Congress leaders of Tripura is now confirmed.

The political disorder which has recently emerged in Tripura, just before the 2018 Assembly Election, is one of the most important issue of the state.

The main opposition party Tripura Pradesh Congress which has almost left just as a skeleton as its major leaders ran away from the party and now inviting a new party from West Bengal.

Another party BJP which has already entered in North East with BJP’s massive winning in Assam, is trying its level best to score high in the Assembly Election.

But whether political parties are hoping for the best, but in reality all these parties have failed miserably in last 5 years every elections held in the state.

Now question of emerging new groups as TMC, for which WB Chief Minister Mamata Banarjee herself is coming soon in state, how far the party will shine in this election?

Criticizing the state ruled left front government, Roy said that days are not so far when the people themselves will threw away the government from the state and will give a call to corruption free government. Corruption is touching the high sky under the rule of the left front government, claimed Mukul Roy.
