AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar led Tripura’s CPI-M Govt finally decided to embark upon the delayed journey of reaching out to ‘Investors’ to boost Tripura economy as Modi led Central Govt curtailed begging bowls of massive MGNREGA fund allocations. Manik Sarkar and his lameduck Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty yet to learn the basic skills and manners for conducting a investor-business meet as both acted in unimpressive manner throughout the business-friendly meet. It was interesting to see how a so called Communist regime invite capitalist bourgeois as Union Govt tightened noose on CPI-M Govt’s rampant misappropriation of Central Funds.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar at the end of the programme while delivering his speech could not hide his frustration and concluded by saying that “Tripura’s only resource is Peace and Tranquility” ignoring Tripura’s 7 lakhs unemployed manpower.

Manik Sarkar was foolish enough to criticize IT and Industrially developed Southern India in front of his Southern Industry Secretary M. Nagaraju by uttering absurd remarks. Mocking developed States in Southern India, CM said, “Tripura people are not so much cunningly purposeful like (South India), if they ask any person for a cup of tea, it will not have any purpose and thus I request all the businessmen to save the peace and tranquility here”.

Immature CM continued his tirade in a business meet by blaming Central Govt in front of foreign delegates, CM  was talking like as if political campaigning in rural areas and said, “More than doing business, transparency and open heartedness is more important to Tripura people”.

Manik Sarkar also took a dig upon common business practice of building relations in other parts of India , “If anyone in Tripura ask you for tea with any business purpose, just let us know, Govt. will take care of it”.

“Govt. here is bound to maintain its democracy and peace as it has been maintained always. In Tripura there is no communal clashes like other states. I know investing in Tripura is highly risky, but buiness is full of risks as our life too”, added Manik Sarkar.

Addressing Saturday’s investors meet at Pragna Bhawan, organized by ASSOCHAM, Manik Sarkar said, “It’s nice to see that whereas earlier people used to go outside Tripura for job and work, now investors are coming to Tripura for invest, but they should be careful while operating business here about the peace and democracy of the state would be maintained, Tripura would not be turned into a commercial state ”.

“I disagree with earlier speakers who were calling Tripura tiny and small, they should look at the menpower here”, said Manik Sarkar. It’s to be mentioned here from ASSOCHAM chairman to Chief Secretary Y P Singh all mentioned Tripura as tiny to explain its real condition of Tripura.

Manik Sarkar’s stupid rant continued, “Governmnet cannot develop industry, but it’s Companies who will invest for the state, should  invest in  a larger way so that it will help whole North East as well as Bangladesh”.

Manik Sarkar also cried over the geographical condition of the state. Both Manik Sarkar and Tripura Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty broke protocols, shamelessly blamed Central Govt in front of Bangladesh Industry Minister  Alhaz Amir Hossain for stopping various Rural Development schemes for Tripura.

However, Manik Sarkar expressed his desire to make Tripura as NE’s Gateway when the Chittagong port connection to South Tripura will be completed (even though it’s a Central Govt funded project).

Tripura’s lameduck Industry Minsiter Tapan Chakraborty said, “I request all the investors to put pressure upon the present central Govt. to help Tripura, as central Govt. has stopped many schemes which has blocked the way of Development here”.

However, Tapan Chakraborty didn’t mention about BG Railway service or Internet Gateway service which has been launched in Tripura by Modi Govt.

Bangladesh Industry Minister  Alhaz Amir Hossain in his speech said, “Indo-Bangla relation was nice always but it’s the Modi Govt. who inaugurated the first commercial relation with Bangladesh”.

“India have been supportive to Bangladesh always and the joint inauguration of 100 MW Power-Surplus and Internet Gateway on 23rd March has begun the historic commercial relation already”, said Hossain.

Bangladesh Industry Minster also said, “Now Feni river project and Chittagong port project will make bi-lateral ties much stronger”.

Manik Sarkar and his Industry Minister haven’t invited a single entity from USA and other western countries like smart Southern States do (AP, Telengana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu) , so communist regime making sure that Tripura will never see the light of IT and Service sector industries as all these Global giant companies headquartered in USA.

At the end, Tripura’s poorly educated Chief Minister and Industry Minister looked utter cheap as all dignitaries including Bangladesh delegation praised Modi Govt for rapid Industrial progress and close relations with neighboring countries.

Manik Sarkar used 'Invest Tripura- Business meet' platform to bash Modi led industry-friendly central govt and then lecturing Industrialists on tranquility and peace, so one can expect the final outcome of such namesake futile exercises by CPI-M Govt.
