KAMALPUR, June 2 (TIWN): The office was opened with much hurly-burly and with the promises of providing the commoners with much ease to attain administrative facilities. But after a sort of service the facilities for some time, the services remained ceased for last two and half months. And even after repeated requests and knocking, the commoners failed to find any remedy. The situation prevailed at the DCM Office set up at Salema under Kamalpur sub-division.

The office near the Primary Health Centre was inaugurated during 2015-16 fiscal. One of the DCMs used to sit in that office once in a week to provide the public different sort of facilities like PRTC, Income Certificate. Marriage Registration Certificate, SC, ST and OBC Certificate and others.

The commoners were greatly helped by the initiative as they should not come Kamalpur after a 28 kilometer journey and with a great insecurity of completing the task. But, none of the DCMs sat at that office for a single day in last two and a half months.

When asked, the SDM officials claimed that, a Tehashildar and another staff remained there on duty. And as all the certificates became applicable online then those staffs used to bring and submit the appeals in the SDM Office. Thus the DCM needed not to go to that office any more.

Now, if there remained no need for the DCMs to go and to perform duties in that office than the office should be closed so that the commoners not suffer in false notion.
