AGARTALA, May 22 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident one died after being chopped off in railway track at Brajanagar area under Ranir Bazar police station on Sunday morning.
The deceased is yet to be identified.
According to the sources, the victim was in hurry for crossing the train but in the mean time the train dashed the victim and chopped off the head of the victim in the track at Brajanagar area under Ranir Bazar police station on Sunday morning.
Getting alarm about the incident, the ranir Bazar police reached the spot and started investigation. However, police is so far unable to identify the victim. Police is further investigating the case.
As there are no short cuts to success, there are no short cuts to railway tracks either. For, opting for the short cut, crossing the railway tracks to reach another platform, took one life on Sunday morning.
Human chains, distributing roses to offenders, constant warnings through announcements and banners are some of the measures tried by the railway police to keep commuters away from the crossing, to no avail and despite of several awareness people fall sin the trap of the railway track.
