AGARTALA, May 13 (TIWN): Amidst serious controversies related to the alliance between CPI-M and Congress, despite of being ideologically different have gone united to fight against Trinamool congress. The last 2011 assembly polls, which ended the 34-year-long rule of the Left, had Trinamool and Congress on the same side. The Congress, which broke its alliance later on, has forged alliance with the Left. The Left-Congress alliance has been a subject of mockery for both the BJP and the Trinamool. Apart this alliance is a question to the society as there can’t be alliance where there is no similarity. Both CPI-M and congress has different ideology and strategy. With the clamour for forging an alliance with Congress growing louder, majority of CPI (M) state committee members have spoken in favour of either an alliance or an electoral pact with Congress by stating "extraordinary situation demands historic decisions". Both CPI (M) and Congress are ideologically opposite to each other and alliance with each will do no work well for the party politics in Tripura.

However, in WB CPI-M and congress is moving hand in hand to fight against Trinamool but in Tripura the alliance is still a question.
The clarion call for the alliance came from former chief minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee on 16 January at Singur.

Former Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman and Tripura Pradesh Youth congress Sushanta Chowdhury and many others have already resigned from the party and in their resignation letter they have mentioned that the resignation letter has been submitted in protest of the unethical alliance between Congress and the Left Front in West Bengal Assembly Election.

It is to mentioned here that according the Sudip roy Barman and Sushanta Chowdhury this move of forging an alliance with the CPI-M has completely ruined the prospect of the Congress party in Tripura wherein innumerable number of Congressmen have been murdered and subjected to immense oppression during the twenty-three years of left rule.

Besides, they also mentioned that with this alliance the party has compromised with its values to form this alliance only to grab power and the hopes of the people of Tripura.

Amid such controversial situation, Tripura is eyeing forward to know about outcome of the alliance result.
