AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): As a part of the protest against the fireman job chaos in the state, the deprived youths on Monday staged protest rally across the city.

It is to be mentioned here that a section of deprived youths who applied for firemen jobs against 384 posts under the Tripura Govt, the govt has given stay order on those jobs, which is showing Chief Minister’s plan-wise safety maintenance policy to save his own party.

According to the deprived youths they will knock the door of the HC and if required they will also file RTI into the case.

Reportedly, the job offers were distributed among 384 youths, among them however 11 posts were reserved for Civil Defence trained students. But according to the youths among the 11 candidates, only 4 candidates were eligible for the job, whereas the rest of the 7 youths had begged job via party channels. As per the laws, while recruiting firemen under Fire Service dept, a civil defence appealer must have at least 7 year’s Experience with regular training programme records. But the 7 candidates had only done with a 7 day's training programme, whereas many experienced people, who are presently engaged as the trainer for the new civil defence students couldn't not qualify for the job. Tension more prevails among the unemployed youths as they are becoming overage.

The Tripura government's recruitment of 10,323 teacher who future is yet at stake as HC has terminated their jobs which had led to a state-wide agitation by a section of unemployed youths and various political parties, including the Congress, Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party, with the Left Front government being accused of failure to provide jobs yet another order from HC has sent shock waves across the state.

Although the state govt. has failed to provide jobs to the qualified youths of the state, govt. with its full strives is setting up the State University to provide “Quality education”.

Inputs are increasing, but what are the outputs of education here? Day by day many degree holders are expanding, as expanding unemployed too.

In this situation state govt. has brought another plan to create more crisis of job by setting up a State University. Every year from this University many students will pass out. So including state and Central University a large number of students would pass out every year and suffer from jobless situation.

Unemployment is a serious problem in the state. Lack of industries, vocational/skill development training institutes, and absence of government policies are some of the reasons which is leading to growing number of unemployed youths.
