AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): The most visible thing which you see around during summer is of people busy in taking sip of coconut water to get relief from massive heat.
In this summer the thing which can give some partial relief is the coconut water. With the arrival of summer, there seems to be a growing patronage among citizens for up market fruit juice stalls selling exotically named milk and fruit concoctions.
Every evening, there are long queues of vehicles parked outside the fruit juice outlets in the city. The preferred drink this season seems to be the so-called `ice-cream' milk shakes, which come in various psychedelic hues. With that the demand of cold drinks also prevails in the State.
The rising summer heat has already touched 36 degree Celsius, giving harrowing experience to the common people.
There is also acute water crisis across Tripura Hills and some other parts of the state
Frequent load shedding has also made daily life miserable as no respite in sight.
With the summer season hits the state, people are experiencing bad weather with high temperature and is in grip of heat waves.
It has been a week that the people of Tripura are massively hit with the rising temperature in this summer.
Besides, frequent power cuts for long stretches are only adding to the woes of the residents who have to do with an acute shortage of drinking water as rivers, ponds and wells have gone dry.
According to sources report, meteorological department has also warned of a heat wave condition in various parts of the State as there is no possibility of rainfall in the next few days.
However, the hot surface wind along with the frequent power cut in the state has added woes on the daily life of the state.
People in the state are avoid coming out in the scorching heat. It seems like accept the office going people, students and the employed people none others like to come out from their houses, until and unless any emergency comes up.
Heat waves and sultry weather scare vehicle riders and pedestrians, and it resulted in roads wearing a deserted look during the day. Cases of sun stroke are on reports due to massive scorching heat hits the state.
