AGRTALA, April 26 (TIWN): Secretary of the Union Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Naveen Verma arrived in the state for one day visit on Tuesday.
Secretary of the Union Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Naveen Verma arrived at Agartala airport on Tuesdayfrom Guhawati and soon after his arrival in the state capital; he is scheduled to visit the Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GB hospital and will monitor some ongoing developmental projects in the hospital.
Official sources said, as per schedules, Naveen Verma will visit the ILFS’s multi-skill development training school and Budhjungnagar industrial growth centre, where Mr Verma will also visit bamboo made floor tiles factory. While returning from Budhjungnagar, Mr Verma will monitor the programmes of a Northeast Rural Livelihood project at Champamura area of Agartala. Mr verma will also visit Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan and review the ongoing construction works of the lone fly-over of the city.
The 1982 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, Navin Verma, Special Secretary, and Cabinet Secretariat has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region vice R. VijayKumar who retired on September 31, 2015.
