AGARTALA, April 25 (TIWN): Evaluation of the answer sheets of the Madhyamik and H.S (+2) exams has started on Monday. The evaluation of papers has begun in different centres namely Sishubihar School, Umakanta School, Netaji School, Bodhjung Girls School and Banividyapith School and at Tulsibati School.
Besides, the process of taking the answered papers to the respective centre had already began.
The Madhyamik examinations, conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), was held from March 3 and a total of 49089 students from varied schools appeared the examination along with 20 disabled students including 7 blind students appeared in the examination.
The Madhyamik examination conducted by Tripura Board of secondary education continued till 28 March. Students from 936 schools of the state have written their examination in 75 examination centre allotted by the examination board.
Along with Madhyamik, Madarsa Madhyamik and Madrasa Alim exam was also held from March 3.
It is to be mentioned here that the examination for Higher Secondary Education was conducted from March 2 and continued till April 4.
It is to be mentioned here that Tripura board school education is known as TBSE. Every year there are large numbers of students who appear for the examination for both class 10th and 12th.Tripura board of secondary education was established in 1973, under the act known as Tripura board of secondary education act, 1973 as passed by Tripura legislative assembly. The board started its functioning from 1st of January 1976.
The board is responsible for in framing rules and regulations required to run the university board, syllabus or curriculum and other necessary guidelines that are responsible for smooth and active conduct of the business board. Before all these moves, the high and higher secondary schools of Tripura came under the West Bengal board of education. This affiliation under the West Bengal board did not result in providing education to the entire lot. Soon after the setting up of Tripura board, examinations were conducted under the same. After the affiliation, the board of education decided to adopt the syllabus of central board of education for Tripura Board Madhyamik and higher secondary examinations.
