KAMALPUR, April 21 (TIWN): In each and every religion, the tune of humanity remained to be the basic value in one form or the other. And in our country where, different sects of people observe many different religions, it became more and more evident. In that context, the presence of humanity remained to be an attractive feature. And this very essence and tune of our country, especially in the pluralistic religious ground got evident and distinct in the inaugural speech of the Governor, Tathagata Roy yesterday at Kamranga under this sub-division. The Governor came here to inaugurate the two-day long Garia Puja and Festival.
But during the course of the inaugural function, the organizers failed to show humanistic approach towards the people present there.
Further, they also failed to show any humanity towards the school-kids, whom they gathered for making the welcome of Governor colorful.
What remained striking and painful enough that, those school-kids stood by hours in the scorching heat wave and none of the organizers found it important to provide then with some drinking water to stop dehydration.
All the people present there suffered due to the lack of drinking water.
However, NSS volunteers tried their best served to some people with drinking water.
But it was very little to meet the need. Further, when the kids were collapsed due to the heat wave, then some of the organizers were found soothing themselves in front of the fan. And others were roaming on the ground fanning selves.
The kids witnessed those scenes in pleading eyes. But none was there to stand by them.
Now, this practice should not be the trait of religion and religious programs should devoid of such incidents, according to the commoners.
